Q: Can I get a printed catalog?

A: Printed catalogs can quickly become out of date so, we feel that presenting our products on the internet is the best way for us to give you all the up-to-date information about the kites and accessories we have in stock. We up-date our website almost every day. As a result we are unable to offer you with a printed catalog.

Q: When will I receive my order?

A: Our shipping time is quick - most orders will be shipped out the same day if received by 2:00 pm Monday - Friday PST, otherwise within 48 hours. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will ship on Monday. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your order by e-mail. Please print or make a note of your order number and account login for future reference. Next you will receive an order status update email when your order has been processed. Once your order has been filled the delivery time depends on your shipping selection and your shipping location. Here is our shipping options page that includes a Time-in-Transit map from us to you.

Q: Can I have an order shipped outside the United States?

A: Most kites are available for shipment outside of the United States. Some kites exceed size restrictions for shipment to certain countries. Because the size restrictions vary from country to country you will be notified by email if the kite ordered cannot be shipped due to it's size. Check out our International page for more details.

Q: Do you charge sales tax?

A: We are required by state regulations to collect sales tax on orders purchased within or shipped to California. The tax rate within San Luis Obispo County is 7.25%

Q: What about replacement parts?

A: We do offer limited replacment parts for the most popular kites and stunt kites we offer. Coastal Kites does not have a supply of replacement parts for every kite. If we do not have immediate stock we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We deal with many kite manufactures, so we can get parts for most everything on our website. Please let us know as much about the part that you can (ie: name of the kite its from, length, width, diameter of the spar or fitting). If you are going to call us it is good to have the kite, and a measuring tool in front of you.

Q: What happens if an item is backordered?

A: The "availability" area on the product page will indicate that the item is backordered. We will email you when a backordered item is available for shipping. Your credit card will not be charged until an item is shipped.

A: No

Q: Can you special order a kite for me?

A: Yes, if we already have an account with the manufacturer we would be glad to. In some cases the orders may actually be drop shipped from the manufacturer to save you time.
